In folk belief itchy soles mean a journey: you will soon be going somewhere. Some say the right foot means a pleasant trip and the left a less welcome one.
What do itchy feet mean?
The most common explanation is that your feet are asking for the road. It could be a trip, a move to a new home or simply an unexpected outing. Some say the itch also means you are tired of staying in one place.
Right foot or left foot?
As with the hands, the right side counts as the better one: an itchy right foot means a pleasant trip, the left a difficult or unwanted one. But these rules change from family to family.
What is the real cause?
Itchy feet are often caused by dry skin, sweat or a fungal infection. If the itch does not pass or the skin turns red, a doctor's visit matters more than any trip.
