Does everyone believe this?
No, and that is the fun part. In some Asian traditions the meaning depends on whether you are a man or a woman, or on the time of day, and in some places the right and left eye swap meanings. The same eye tells a different story in different countries.

Eyelid twitching usually comes from tiredness, lack of sleep, stress or too much coffee. If it lasts for weeks or spreads to other parts of the face, see a doctor.
