A candle in coffee grounds: what does it mean?
- hope
- wish
- inspiration
- prayer
A candle in coffee grounds is a symbol of hope and a wish made. By tradition it means light will be shed on a murky matter and an idea will come to you.
What does a candle in a coffee cup mean?
A candle lights the way in the dark, so in the cup it means clarity, inspiration and faith. It often shows that someone is praying for you or wishing you well. It is also linked to study and knowledge.
Where does a candle appear: rim, bottom or handle?
Near the rim, an answer or idea is said to appear soon. At the bottom it points to a long-held wish still being kindled. By the handle it ties to a family tradition, a celebration or warmth kept alive at home.
Big, small or blurry: what changes the meaning?
A lit candle, with a dot or flame on top, means strong hope and success. An unlit candle traditionally advises returning to a task and renewing your energy. Several candles together point to a celebration.
The candle and your wish
A candle is a good time to make a wish and state your goal clearly. Write down what you want and do a little each day to reach it.
